Monitor Energy Saver, also known as MonitorES, is a small, free program that lets you automatically shut down the monitor once the PC is blocked. As the name says, Monitor Energy Saver's aim is to save energy.

Its working is very simple. Just configure Monitor Energy Saver so that the program will: automatically disconnect the monitor, pause music and movies playing, or change the status of the moment to "Absent" in instant messaging programs like Messenger or Google Talk.

Monitor Energy Saver works with programs like Winamp, AIMP, Windows Media Player, Windows Media Player Classic, 1BY1, iTunes, KMPlayer, Media Monkey, GOM Player, ALShow, VLC Media Player, Spotify, Foobar2000, BSPlayer, QuickTime and XMPlay.
